Our campsites are big rig friendly, accommodating the largest motorhome and trailering combinations without having to unhitch. We were designated by Woodalls as having some of the largest campsites in the state of Florida. Each campsite has ample room to enjoy outdoors without feeling “on top of” your neighbor. We offer campers a nature based atmosphere amongst tall shady trees. Many campsites have fire rings and a few select sites offer screen room porches, garden boxes for planting flowers or vegetables, or views of the Yellow River. A community garden is also available in spring/summer.
Wi-Fi is complimentary to all campers and powered by Century Link, the local internet and telephone provider for Northwest Florida. Repeaters are situated throughout the park to give customers access from any campsite. Private service is available through Century Link at campsites with phone jacks.
Other services available to campers: propane refill for cylinders and onboard tanks, laundry, bath house, and dump station. The camp store sells wood, ice, and limited non-perishables. Staff in the office will be glad to help campers secure on site mobile RV repair or direct them to nearby RV stores/maintenance facilities, tire specialists, etc. Camping World and Dixie RV Superstores are major dealerships nearby for parts, accessories, sales and repair.

River’s Edge has limited tent camping available by reservation only and approved at management’s discretion. Bicyclists on cross country are always welcome without reservation or prior approval.

Campers are allowed to bring their own fishing boats and utilize the boat ramp. The campground is situated in the Yellow River Wildlife Management Area across from Eglin Air Force Base. Campers can keep their boats parked at their campsite. Campers without boats can bank fish. River conditions and fishing reports are posted by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for the Yellow River. A fishing license is required.

River’s Edge has a short nature trail along the river bank perfect for finding a good fishing hole which ends at a sandbar in the river bend downstream. Kayak and canoe enthusiasts can put in from River’s Edge and pick up at the public boat ramp a few miles downstream.

Children have a small playground with open field for games and a horseshoe pit. During winter months the clubhouse is open for morning coffee and planned social events like game night and potluck dinners.

Holt and Baker are the quiet small towns to the north of the base. The Yellow and Black Water Rivers offer lots of opportunity in this area for fishing, hiking, canoeing and kayaking, hunting, and taking auto and motorcycle rides along highway 90 and the surrounding countryside which features lovely ranches.

All campsites are full hookup and have the same daily ($30.00) and weekly rate ($150.00). Monthly rates vary by their location in the park and site features. Monthly rates start at $265.00 and up plus tax and metered electric. A $50.00 deposit and the first month’s rent is all that is required to get started. No long term commitments required. Local residents can take advantage of our weekend camping program (part-time monthly). Select sites are available for local residents to set up their RV campsite permanently while visiting to camp on the weekends. No need to break down, tow and store the RV. It is set up and ready for use each weekend for $159.00 plus tax and metered electric per month plus deposit.
