"We found this park just outside the San Benito city limits on State Highway 345. We arrived in May of 2014 and are still here. We were drawn to San Benito because it has that old small town charm. Close to Harlingen, we have plenty of shops and dining options, without having to deal with the larger cities traffic and crime issues. (And we are close enough to Brownsville or McAllen should we want to venture into the bigger cities, we could easily do so.) Pan American RV Park is small and family owned. We decided on this park because they are open all year and there is always a manager on-site. We liked the fact that the seasonal rates are very affordable. They take pride in keeping the bathrooms and clubhouse clean. We also liked the fact that they have night security 7 days a week. Pan American RV Park really is a quiet, safe & clean little country RV park for Winter Texans."

Meadowlark Shores RV Park hidden on the Caloosahatchie River, Moorehaven, FL - Passport America Participating Park

Every day is a celebration at Meadowlark Shores RV Park. Located 45 miles east of Ft. Myers and just west of Lake Okeechobee. Come bask in the peaceful sunrises and sunsets while you watch otters, gators, tarpon and manatee as they make their living in the bountiful waters flowing from Lake Okeechobee to the Gulf of Mexico at this 55+ park in South Central Florida. 

Meadowlark Shores RV Resort is situated directly next to the Caloosahatchie River/Intracoastal Waterway. Come see this marvel of engineering that was completed by the Army Corps of Engineers Stretching out from both directions, the waterway extends to the Gulf of Mexico using the Caloosahatchee River and to the Atlantic Ocean using the St. Lucie Canal. Covering 152 miles, the waterway serves as both a commercial and recreational link with several overnight-docking facilities along the way. The Corps constructed and currently manages five locks along the Waterway. Ortona Lock and Dam located less than 1/4 mile from Meadowlark Shores were constructed in 1937 for navigation purposes.
