NEW - Passport America App for Android (TM) Update - Available Now!

We are happy to announce that the new update for Android(TM) is now available. If you already have our app, just look for it in the My Apps section of the Google Play Store to install the update. If you are not seeing the update, click here to download from Google Play* or click here to download for Amazon Kindle Fire tablet * (added to Amazon 05/13/14) and Fire Phone (added 04/13/2015).
 
We greatly appreciate all your feedback since the last update. You have helped us tremendously and we look forward to adding more features in the very near future. 

Here is a list of new and enhanced features:

• Location based campground search that allows you to specify the distance radius. 
• View campgrounds in each state on a map or in a list.
• New sorting features to make finding a Passport America Participating Campground even easier!
• Search from anywhere in the app.
• Campground Photos load faster and are available right on the campground page (no longer have to press a button to view photos).
• Unlimited favorites! Favorites are now accessible from the side menu.  
• Add notes to any campground and access them from the side menu.
• Turn by turn navigation directly to any campground.

The tablet version will have all the same features as the handset. However, there are some differences:

While you are in the main menu (with handset or tablet), be sure to also check out the "more" section with additional features such as your campground notes, access new Passport America Participating parks, conveniently call Passport America customer support and much more!

Our app will be accessible on most tablets and phones using a minimum OS version of 2.3 (over 97% of the overall Android devices).  Google Play* services & OpenGLes 2.0 must be installed in order to use any of the mapping features.

Internet connection is required to use application. Campground data is updated daily.

March 14, 2014: v2.0.2 Released. 2.3+ Bug fixes

Issues fixed include:

- Some ads overlaying list items

- Crashing issues on mapping area. Changed functionality to require users to click a refresh button to view campgrounds in the visible area.

- Keyboard covering up membership box during registration

- Crashing when canceling request to get user's location

March 18, 2014: v2.0.3 Released. 2.3+ 
Issues fixed include:
 
- Crashing on some tablets with 3.x OS
- Crashing for 2.3.x users when accessing mapping areas. If you are a user with a 2.3.x OS, please verify that you have Google Maps installed to use the mapping areas.
- Phone number list now displays the phone number type
- Users can change the state map they are viewing from the Action Bar

Passport America App for Amazon Fire Phone is now available!
Free download available now on Amazon. 

There are a couple of differences due to the version of Android* used for Kindle:

Turn by Turn Directions – located in the individual campground listing. You can select the option, but it will open Google Maps* in your web browse. Be sure to use “my location” as the starting point and then tap the arrow on the right to get turn by turn directions.
