In 1964, Jerry Williams and Jack Garsky built and incorporated Travel Trailer Village, an RV Park in Mesa near Main & Lindsey. In Nov 1971, Wilfred (Whitey) Dunkel purchased the park and his family still owns and operates the park today. In 2002, the parks name was changed to Mesa Spirit RV Resort and in Feb 2014, the Park will be celebrating 50 years of business!

Nida Stroup moved to the resort in 1979. She and her husband started off as volunteers where they organized the library every morning & evening just to keep it straight. In 1986, Nida took a job at the park and is still employed today. “When I moved here in 1979” says Stroup, “The north side of University drive was orange groves. Baseline Rd was a 2 lane going into Phoenix and the 60 was the 360 - a county road that only went to Gilbert Rd.”

The park will be celebrating their 50 years of business in Feb 2014 with a customer appreciation party and the public is invited to attend. The party will have feature stations all around the park to showcase the 1800 spaces and 88.1 acres from Main and University between Lindsey to Val Vista.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort is an active adult community located at 3020 E. Main St, Mesa, AZ 85213; on Main Street between Lindsey and Val Vista. The park boasts 1800 spaces and 88.1 acres from Main and University between Lindsey to Val Vista.
The resort is rated a Good Sam 10/10*/10 Resort and is also a (AAA/CAA) Resort and Passport America Participating Park. Located just west of the beautiful Superstition Mountains, this hidden gem of Mesa is pet friendly has 1,800 sites housing Park Model Homes and RV’s (even big Rigs are welcomed). Fully furnished vacation rentals are also available.
