The Water is Waiting in Texas!
Time to take out the boats and grab the fishing poles…the Texas lakes are filling back up! Over the last two years, many lakes in Texas had their water levels drop to devastatingly low levels. Due to rainfall increasing this year, several lakes throughout Central and South Texas have seen substantial rises in their water levels. Lakes that were previously dry due to drought, can now welcome back the boaters, fishers and water lovers.
Medina Lake, located just 40 miles outside of San Antonio, has had it’s water levels rise to 58% where it was previously lower than 5%. Medina Lake is one of the most notable lakes that have seen a rise in level waters but lakes including Lake Whitney*, Lake Texoma, Lake Tawakoni* and others have seen their water levels reach 100%.
