Port Orford is the oldest town site on the Oregon coast, rich in history and preserved with a quaint, small town atmosphere. It is also home to the oldest continually operating Oregon lighthouse, which is also the highest above the ocean in Oregon. There are many art galleries, restaurants, shops, a unique open water "dolly dock" port with no-river-bar, and a working commercial fishing fleet. There are lots of things to do and see including ocean view trails, miles of clean uncrowded beaches, whale watching, ocean fishing, lake and river fishing, clamming and crabbing, kayaking, museums, and much more.
